Uniting to care & cure

With fall just around the corner, we will spend this month gearing up for our busy fall season with plenty of events!  There is something for everyone – galas, dinners, football, spin events, education events, and more.  We hope to see you all there!

Also, as we are preparing to return to school, many families will be making decisions about what is best for their families.  We have answers to many of your questions on our website in our Back to School section.

We will begin returning to our offices next month so much more information to come!

New Resources on Diet and Nutrition for Children with IBD

Many children with IBD worry that they will no longer be able to enjoy their favorite foods or eat with their friends. Because IBD affects how the body absorbs vitamins, nutrients, and water, it is important for children with IBD to maintain a healthy diet with proper nutrition. Check out our new resources to learn more about nutrition for children with IBD HERE.

There’s still time to join the Get Gutsy: Tour Across America™ presented by Team Challenge! Get active and connect with other IBD heroes from across the country in this fun fitness challenge.

How it works:

Register now: Fees range between $35-250 depending on the type of swag you choose.

Log your workouts in our app through August 15. Choose from a variety of options, including running, walking, cycling, paddling, and more!

The miles you log will move our “Gutsy” icon in a loop around the United States. You can even earn miles for time spent doing activities such as yoga or kickboxing.

Use your fundraising page to increase your impact (and earn additional incentives based on what you raise).

Post your sweaty selfies and give virtual high fives!

If you are a Black/African-American person ages 18-65 diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis by a healthcare professional, we would like to have a private conversation with you.

We want to learn about your experience living with Crohn’s or colitis in order to develop better educational materials, design better community programs, and provide better support for people of African heritage living with these conditions.

Participants who are selected and complete the focus group will receive a $150 gift card for their time.

If you are interested and available for one hour to have a confidential, virtual conversation about your disease experience, please call 855-932-8CCF to schedule a conversation, or click here to get started.
