"Iron is an element used to make other metals stronger. Team Challenge is definitely my "iron". It strengthened my IRONMAN® strategy, training, motivation, race day execution and most importantly my purpose. If you go "all-in" with Team Challenge's Iron Team, they will carry you across the finish line, you will truly connect with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation's cause and you will learn more about yourself than you ever imagined. Simply put, my Team Challenge Iron Team experience changed my life and it can change yours as well!" - Sandy Thompson
Widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world, IRONMAN® competitions consist of 70.3 or 140.6-miles of consecutive swimming, biking, and running. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is proud to partner with exclusive IRONMAN® events and holds a limited number of bibs with some great perks that athletes cannot get anywhere else. This program is a great way to push your limits while truly making a difference for the nearly 1 in 200 people who suffer from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
If you speak to an IRONMAN® you’ll soon find he or she describes it as one of the best life experiences ever. Words can’t describe the feeling of elation when crossing the finish line in an event that you did not comprehend finishing when you first started training. It is something that if you complete, can leave you wondering what would life would be like if you had not gone though the experience. It can change you and make you think about things differently. Do you have what it takes to do an IRONMAN®?
