2019 Connections: Education Day for Families of Kids with IBD
Saturday, October 19, 2019 - 10:00 am-7:00 pm
Join the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Northwest Chapter for a special day of education and support for the whole family of pediatric Crohn's and colitis patients! Featuring leading pediatric IBD providers speaking on a variety of topics, we'll provide the whole family with the information and resources.
Kids must be 7-18 years old to attend and must attend the kids' track; they cannot sit in on parents' sessions. Children younger than 7 may not attend the event. The IBD patient must be younger than 18 at the time of the event.
Cost: Cost is $30 per family or $10 per person. If this fee presents a barrier for your family, please contact Jodie at email@example.com to request a scholarship. This fee is refundable if you cancel at least 5 days in advance.
Food: Lunch, dinner, and snacks will be provided for attendees. Exact menu will be announced to all registrants prior to the event. We strive to accommodate every diet but we also welcome you to bring food from home. The YMCA is a nut-free camp.
Overnight Option: Recognizing that it's a long day and some families are traveling long distances, participants have the option to arrange with the YMCA to stay at camp overnight Friday and/or Saturday nights. Kids must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. Accommodations are cabins with bathrooms, 1 per family. Light breakfast included. Those staying overnight Friday may arrive anytime after 4 PM; Friday dinner is not provided. Parents are responsible for chaperoning their kids outside of the event hours of 10 AM-7 PM on Saturday.
Direct questions to Jodie DeLay, Education Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text 917-903-5047.
