Take Steps Kids Zone 2021

We are bringing Take Steps to you!

Join Take Steps walkers from across the Northwest for monthly events. Each month we will bring a beloved area of the Take Steps walk right to you - including a guided activity, a featured patient or caregiver story, and a chance to meet other walkers from the Northwest. Our monthly events are a chance to connect with the local IBD community as we lead up to the National Take Steps livestream on Saturday, June 12.

The Take Steps 2021 Campaign continues with a Kids Zone! We love the family-friendly nature of Take Steps and want this walk season to be meaningful for our younger participants. This month we are also celebrating our pets and love they give us! Our Kids Zone will include decorating animal crowns and pet/stuffed animal/favorite object introductions. We'll hear from Jenn White and her dog Jagger about their experiences with IBD (they're both patients!) and from a local pediatric psychologist on caring for ourselves and others. This event is for kids and kids at heart!

New to Take Steps?
Take Steps is an annual charity walk benefitting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. When we are able to gather in person, the Take Steps walks in Alaska, Portland, and Western Washington are the largest gatherings of our IBD communities in those areas! We will not be walking in person in 2021 but we will still come together as a community to build meaningful connections, support each other, and raise critical funds to support the Foundation's mission. Please reach out to the walk manager nearest you to learn more about this awesome event!
