Hi! I’m Abby and I am a 15 year old freshman in high school. My favorite activities include gymnastics, lacrosse, being with my friends, and playing with my cats and guinea pig. In fifth grade, my pediatrician raised concern because I was off the chart under height and weight. I also had excruciating stomach pain, which made me double over on the floor. I could barely eat food and was always tired. She sent me for blood tests which determined that I needed to see a GI specialist. After having a colonoscopy and endoscopy, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.

Volunteer
Thousands of volunteers have helped the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) work toward our mission to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide a high level of support, education, research, and resources to our IBD community.
