Atlanta Take Steps

The Throne Committee

Saturday, April 30th, is Atlanta's Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis walk. This is my 10th year walking, and I am so excited! My team ... appropriately named “The Throne Committee” ... will join 60+ other teams in the 1.5 mile walk around beautiful Blackburn Park, in Atlanta. There will be food, music and kid's activities before, during, and after the event.

Take Steps is not "just a walk" to participate in. It is not just a "good cause". It is giving hope to the hopeless. A voice to the person too tired or too young to speak out for themselves. It is an opportunity for us to do something good in the community, help raise awareness, and take a step toward a future free from Crohn's and Colitis.

Many people still feel that they are alone in their struggle with IBD, not knowing how to explain to others what they go through. Let's face it; discussing Crohn's is not exactly table talk! Take Steps provides the perfect environment for patients and their families to come together and know they are not alone in this fight!

This cause is so important, and I appreciate your help as we fight for a cure! If you can’t join me at the event, please consider donating. The more money we raise, the closer we will be to making life more manageable for people (like me) who live with these diseases every day. Some have given up the dream of a cure ... but I just can't.

One day I will be able to say, "You know, I used to have Crohn's ..." and you will have been part of that journey!

Please join our team, or donate to our efforts, to support CCFA in finding a cure!
