Please help me reach my personal goal of $2,000.00 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. This year Calvert Crohn's will be participating in Take Steps 8025 Galleria Drive Lerner Town Square at Tyson's II.
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis affect more individuals than you may think – it is estimated that as many as 1 in 100 Americans suffer from IBD. While many suffer in silence, Take Steps brings the community together in a fun, family-friendly and supportive atmosphere.
As in the past several years we are walking for our son Hayden who is now 22 and been battling Crohn's disease for over 9 years. Hayden has endured much over the years (Sickness, Pain, Surgeries, Hospital Stays, missed events, etc...) and even though he has been in clinical remission for a few years now, he still requires 6 week Remicade Infusions. Hayden is now a Junior at Salisbury University. Our family has been raising awarness and funds for the foundation for over 7 years now and we look forward to continuing in that role trying to find a cure and better treatments for not only Hayden but millions of others who suffer. In addition to Hayden my nephew Christian was also diagnosed with Crohn's disease two years ago. He is now a Senior in High School In Nashville TN. Christian always supported Hayden, prior to himself being diagnosed. Now we walk for both of them, along with so many others in our local area battling this horrible disease.
We started Calvert Crohn's as a local organziation to support those in our area dealing with this terrible disease. Calvert Crohn's has organized many events in support of The Crohn's and Colitis Foundaion.
Your donation to my fundraising efforts will help support local patient programs, as well as important research projects. This cause is very important to us and I appreciate your help as we unite for cures. We will also be sure to count any money raised for our Take Steps Walk Effort towards your Riddle Race 2019 team incentives. Our Calvert Crohn's 2020 Riddle Race will take place on Saturday September 19th in Calvert County MD.
