We’re walking for Mackenzie. She was diagnosed with IBD at age three. We struggled for many years with so many different medications and hospital stays to get the disease under control. We are raising money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to help find a cure.
Please help us reach our team goal of $500 for Take Steps Gold Coast Walk by donating or registering and fundraising. Your support will help the Foundation invest in cures for the future, while providing support to patients today.
Millions of Americans are living with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, and currently there is no cure. Our team is walking and raising money to support the crucial work of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. Take Steps is the Foundation's largest nationwide fundraising campaign, helping to accelerate the progress of breakthrough research and to support critical patient programs.
We're excited to be a part of the Take Steps Gold Coast event, which is one of the first communities to debut a NEW Take Steps experience. This interactive walk event engages patients, caregivers, and supporters and recognize that while everyone's journey with IBD is unique, we're all working together on the path to cures.
Leaders in Research: The Foundation has invested more than $446 million in research toward cures since its inception. They remain laser-focused on reducing time to disease diagnosis and improving disease management. The Foundation continues to lead the way in critically important areas of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research, improving patient quality of life and driving remission rates higher.
Empowering Patients and Caregivers: The Foundation serves millions of patients annually, and empowers both patients and caregivers through education, support, and advocacy programs. Examples include the MyIBDLearning education series, expanded pediatric support, influencing legislation, and focusing on diversity and inclusion.
