I invite you to join us to Take Steps, the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. I will be walking for my hero, Ryan and so many others suffering from IBD. Known collectively as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis affect more than 1.6 million Americans. That’s one in every 200 Americans living with one of these debilitating, medically incurable diseases that attack the digestive system. The fastest growing patient population is children under the age of 18. For those who live with the daily, debilitating effects of these diseases, nothing is more important than finding better, more effective treatments, and ultimately, cures.
Ryan was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2014, and since then he has endured countless amounts of tests, procedures and two major surgeries. Ryan is an inspiration to me, his family and all the nurses and doctors who have cared for him. He has taken this unfortunate diagnosis as a means to educate not only himself, but to also share his story with anyone who will listen.
I hope you will consider supporting my efforts by joining our team, “No Guts, All Glory” and walk alongside me and/or make a tax-deductible contribution to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. You can donate online at http://online.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/goto/LoveRyansGuts
With your help, we will fund important research, patient education, and support for millions of Americans. This cause is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight for cures!
