Jeffrey Robins- IRONMAN Santa Rosa 2019- Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America
My Personal Web Log
I wanted to wish everyone a very happy and healthy New Year welcoming in 2019! Training for Ironman Santa Rosa has been going very well to date. In December I completed the 1/2 marathon in Rehoboth Beach, DE and have been upping my mileage output as needed. Indoor cycle training is in full gear as I have begun working with a great program called Trainer Road, which configures with Training Peaks and is managed by Coach Dorrer. Swimming is always in progress and now we will begin to up distances swam weekly, moving away from the technique and drill package from the indoor fall season.
All travel plans are in place for our trip to CA for the race in May, so now its up to me to stay healthy and continue my regimen.
I have no races planned prior to the event , so training is paramount to my success on race day.
As training upticks, I will provide an update with weekly/monthly stats as to hours training and effort levels- as my 10-12 hours per week will be uploading to 14 plus this month of January.
All my best- Jeff

October's weather has finally been cooperating and outdoor training has occurred. Fundraising is going very well and in my passionate outreach to the people I have solicited has been successful in conveying the message for needing a cure. Many of my friends have concluded their triathlon seasons but one in particular, Mark Schneider, will be traveling with his family to Kona, HI to represent Team Challenge at the Ironman World Championships on October 13. We all wish him well, safe travels and a day of racing that he will remember for the rest of his life. More will be posted as the month progresses.

Summer has come to a close and serious training for Ironman Santa Rosa has begun. I am back in spirit and focused with my coach, Christina Dorrer , as she designs daily for me training plans leading to May 11 2019 race day. The weekend of 21st of September, I will be racing in Bethany Beach, DE participating in the 1/2 marathon Saturday and Olympic/Sprint distance triathlon race on Sunday. The race season will culminate in December when I race a 1/2 marathon in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
