You Make a Difference!
When I first decided to take on this challenge, I really had no idea how I was going to raise $3,000 AND spend hours upon hours training. BUT GUESS WHAT? With all of your generosity, I currently have $3,445 raised! I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am to have such amazing supporters in my life! Not only have you all helped me to reach my fundraising goal, but you have also been so motivating and encouraging throughout training.
I'm officially 10 weeks out from my race so I thought it would be a good time to do a training update. March training has started to pick up in duration and intensity but April and May are really the bulk of training (yikes).
Here's a little breakdown of what March training hours consisted of:
- Running- 12 hours
- Biking- 15 hours
- Swimming- 7 hours
- Strength- 13 hours
- Day 1- 1 hour swim, 1:15 hour bike ride (20 miles)
- Day 2- 1 hour strength, 6 mile run
- Day 3- 1:15 bike ride (20 miles), 1 hour swim
- Day 4- 1 hour strength, 6 mile run
- Day 5- REST!
- Day 6- 3:30 hour bike ride (50 miles), 3 mile run
- Day 7- 11 mile run
