Cash for Crohn's!
In July 2019, I will be swimming, biking and running my second IronMan 70.3 race! This time, though, I have decided to dedicate my race to raising money for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. I hope you will join me (in raising money, but I'm up for company for the race too!)
This cause has a very special place in my heart because my girlfriend, Cassie, has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease since she was 16 years old. If you know Cassie, you know that nobody would ever guess that she lives at a constant pain level of 3 or more compared to our normal 1. Thankfully, she has found a way to manage her Crohn's but it is still a chronic disease.
This race and fundraising will be a big undertaking, but I'm very excited to do my part to help get us closer to a cure! I would be honored if you would donate by clicking the orange "Donate Now" button on this page. :) Thank you!!
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis: Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.6 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America is: To cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
