Welcome to Paul Taylor's Ironman 2021 FUNdraising Page
Thanks for stopping in to check out my fundraising page. Here's a little background and context:
Well, hasn't 2020 been a heck of a year?!
To "celebrate" my 40th birthday this last year, I decided to compete in an Ironman Triathlon!
It's a huge day: 2.4 mile swim, a 112 miles on the bike, and 26.2 miles running to the finish line. The big event was supposed to be on AUGUST 30th 2020.....BUT....CORONAVIRUS made sure that didn't go as planned!
So, looking ahead to this next year, the 2021 race is back on and I'll be toeing the start line. I'm ecxcited to get back to the training, the racing, and the fundraising.
The only way I could register for the race was to join a fundraising team, which is a great way to help raise some funding for something positive. What makes it even cooler is that this fundraiser is for the The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, something I have family experience with, as my mother had ulcertive colitis for most of her life.
So...here's the deal:
I'm doing the race. Training hard, getting ready for August 29th in 2021, and wondering why I have a tendency to do things like this to myself:)
I need to raise $5,000 for my race entry, all of which goes to The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, a non-profit research and awareness foundation seeking a cure for both diseases.
If there is anything you can donate to help me meet my goal, it is greatly appreciated!
If you just want to leave a comment or cheer me along, that is greatly appreciated as well!
Thanks for the love,
