Vinnie's 2023 Ironman Page
Five years ago, I started working to raise money with Team Challenge for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Back then, it was my neighbor Peyton and patients I would meet that inspired me to do my first Ironman to promote awareness and fundraise to eradicate inflammatory bowel disease.
Over these 5 years, with the support of so many, I have “Raced in Orange” and been fortunate enough to complete Ironman Lake Placid, two Youngstown marathons, a 10K marathon swim in Michigan, and the Ohio half-Ironman, raising more than $20,000 in the process and meeting so many incredible people in the Team Challenge and CCF family
As I approach 40, the time has come to do another Ironman. I will Race in Orange and swim the 2.4 miles, bike the 112 miles, and run the 26.2 miles at the Mont-Tremblant, Quebec Ironman in August of 2023.
A recession, inflation, and the dying embers of this pandemic make giving hard.
Many of you have supported this cause in the past, both spiritually and financially, so any support you can offer would be incredible.
We will be raising at least $20,000 and this cannot be accomplished without your support.
Leading up to the last Ironman, we did an awesome charity event and will be putting on an even better event before this one.
We will be hosting a Charity Ball – The Roaring ‘20’s Charity Ball – on March 31, 2023 at the Lake Club. Please copy and paste the address below into your browser to learn more about the event.
Since I started raising money for the Crohn’s & Colitis foundation in 2017, more drugs are coming through the pipeline. Thanks to some of these drugs, less patients need major surgeries like colon removal. Advances in diet demonstrate improved symptoms in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases. Your contributions are helping fund the research to improve the lives of so many of the 3 million Americans living with inflammatory bowel diseases.
