Who Do I Spin4?
1 in 100 Americans live with Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis, yet there is no cure. I spin4 someone near and dear to my heart: my beautiful daughter Sarah. She was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in May 2016 at the age of seven years old. She is the reason I started this event three years ago--to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for these digestive diseases. For more on Sarah's story, check out my personal page by clicking on Laura, Team Captain, in the team roster on the right of this page.
Your donation will help support local patient programs, as well as important research projects. Please join our team or donate to our efforts to support the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
I spin4 a cure for Sarah!
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects as many as 3 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is: To cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
