Millions of Americans live with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), yet there is no cure. I am one of those people and was diagosed when I was a senior in high school. Throughout my life I've had many flare-ups -- some that were mild and others that were completely debilitating. Without the support of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, my treatment options would be extremely limited. I am able to live an amazing quality of life with Crohn's because of the research and support I receive from the Foundation.

About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) and affect millions of Americans. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine. There are no cures for these often painful and debilitating diseases.

The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
