Millions of Americans, including many of our friends and family in our community live with Crohn's Disease/Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)--- there is no cure. That’s why I'm participating in spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures on September 18th in Westport, CT! Along with several teammates, I'll be spinning for a cure!
"Pete's Pedalers" will participate in this exciting and inspirational event and raise funds to support the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Both my brothers and both my cousins have Crohn's as did my mom who passed away from complications from the disease. I'm thinking about many of you who have also been impacted including: DS, MS, LT, JR, KH, AJB, SK, JA, JY, AL, JG, and others!
I've participated in 7 events since 2010 and you've helped me raise more than $51K! Please help me raise at least $7.5K this time around! Your donation will help support local patient programs, as well as important research projects.
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) and affect millions of Americans. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine. There are no cures for these often painful and debilitating diseases.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
