When I was 13 years old I was diagnosed with Crohn's. Since then I have had colonoscopies regularly, been on more medications than I can count and have had surgery. I have continued to battle this diease along with so many others and events like this and with the help of people like you, managing this disease has been made possible. However, we are hoping to find a CURE and not simply manage symptoms.
Along with being a part of T's Hot Wheels I am working to reach a personal goal of raising $1,000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
I will spin4 the 1.6 million American adults and children affected by these digestive diseases. While many suffer in silence, spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures will bring the community together in a fun, energetic and supportive atmosphere.
Your donation will help support local patient programs, as well as important research projects. This cause is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight for cures!
The more money we raise, the closer we will be to making life more manageable for patients who live with these diseases every day.
I spin4 cures!
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.6 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is: To cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
