Hello bestest friends, family and loved ones,
Thank you for checking out my page! This will be T's Hot Wheels FIFTH year in a row, where we are bikin' for a cause in Chicago's largest spin4 CCFA event! And, this will also be my fourth year in a row on the spin4 CCFA board in Chicago.
The reason that I bike and participate in the spin4 CCFA event every year is for my brother, Taylor (I've always called him "T"). T was diagnosed with crohn's disease when he was only 13 years old. As a family we had never heard of Crohn's disease and didn't have a clue what it was, which was terrifying. After many doctor's visits, questions, our own research online, and our participation in the CCFA we started to learn a lot more about what this dibilitating disease was all about. It's no fun.
After seeing my brother go through numerous doctor's visits, pain during each meal, being told that some of his favorite foods (popcorn!) he could no longer eat without going through awful stomach pains, and a big surgery leaving him recovering in the hospital for days, I want nothing more than to take away the pain and suffering from my younger brother. Though I cannot make the pain go away on my own, I can bike to raise money and awareness for crohn's disease with the goal of one day finding a cure.
More than 1.6 million adults and children across the country suffer from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. I'm asking for your support by making a (tax deductible) contribution to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation:
