Katie and I were amazed by last year's support as we rode (extra time!) for a cure, so we thought we'd try again. We appreciate your support!
Help us reach our goal of $2,500 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation!
After the amazing successes that we had running the half marathon in February 2017, Katie and I decided to set our sights on bikes. I figure since no one is moving forward I won't look as slow as I did with all the running. Katie and I, along with the other members of the Chicago Associates Board are raising money to help cure Crohn's and Colitis. Since Katie's diagnosis in 2015 we have found out that so many of our friends and family are affected. We're riding for you!
I will spin4 the 3 million American adults and children affected by these digestive diseases. While many suffer in silence, spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures will bring the community together in a fun, energetic and supportive atmosphere.
Your donation will help support local patient programs, as well as important research projects. This cause is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight for cures!
The more money we raise, the closer we will be to making life more manageable for patients who live with these diseases every day.
I spin4 cures!
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.6 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is: To cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
