We made a real statement at last year's Spin. Ali was just over a month out of surgery and committed to riding the entire 2 hours. She showed everyone her strong spirit, her courage and her determination to overcome the obstacles that Crohn's poses in her life.
Ironically, coincidentally, but unfortunately not uncommonly for many Crohn's patients, Alison is facing another surgery this month. We hope for resilience and healing, and look forward to doing our part again this year on September 22, 2019 at the spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures event. I will turn the negative meaning of chronic into a positive demonstration of persistence as we pedal forward in hopes of a cure.
Please help me reach my goal of $1,000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Any amount you're comfortable giving is appreciated. Every penny counts toward research and support for the nearly 1.6 million patients across the country.
With 1 in 200 people affected by this disease, I have plenty of reasons to ride – but none more important than the sweet sparkle in my life who keeps me chronically hoping for an end to her struggle.
