Hello Friends and Family!
As you all know, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Dease about two years ago. At first it was a long haul, but now I am doing better than ever! Besides the injections and daily medications, I hardly ever think about the disease nor do I let it stop me from doing anything. When this fundraiser was brought to my attention, I couldn't pass it up. After reading and watching other stories, it made me feel so lucky to be feeling and doing this good. I truly believe a big part of my recovery was do to my amazing support system. On September 22nd, I will be participating in Spin4 Crohn's and Colitis Cures with friends and family in a cycling relay. This will be my second year participating in the event and I hoppe to raise even more money than last year! We will be riding for 2 hours to help find a cure for this chronic illness. Please help me and my team (We've Got Guts) reach my goal of $2,000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
I will spin4 the 1.6 million American adults and children affected by these digestive diseases. While many suffer in silence, spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures will bring the community together in a fun, energetic and supportive atmosphere.
Your donation will help support local patient programs, as well as important research projects. This cause is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight for cures!
The more money we raise, the closer we will be to making life more manageable for patients who live with these diseases every day.
I spin4 cures!
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.6 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is: To cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
