It's that time of year again! It's time to find a cure for crohn's & colitis and 'T's Hot Wheels' won't stop fundraising until we have one!
On Sunday, September 22nd, hundrends of people will spin4 crohn's & colitis cures, an indoor cycling relay for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Our team's goal is top last year's FUNdraising goal (over $9K) and raise more than $10,000 to find cures for these digestive diseases, and we need your help to reach this goal!
As some of you may know, Paige's younger brother (and my BONUS brother) Taylor "T" Robinson was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when he was 13 years old. Taylor has been battling this disease for over half of his life and we will be doing all that we can to honor T and find a cure for this disease so Taylor, and millions others like him, no longer will have to battle this horrible disease.
More than 1.6 million adults and children across the country suffer from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. We're asking for your support by making a tax deductible contribution to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
I appreciate your help to reach my personal goal of $700 and our team goal of $10,000. Together we can spread some good and make a change!
About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.6 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.
The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is: To cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.
