10 Things I Hate About Poo

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis on November 14, 2018. Although that sounds recent, it has been a long journey to get to where I am today. I want to use my platform as a patient to help raise money for this cause and find a cure for a disease that affects millions of people daily.

When I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, I didn't know where to turn. I was completely unaware of what this disease was and how many people it impacted. I was hospitalized for two weeks, but luckily I had my parents and friends by my side to get me through the hard times. My parents were there for me every step of the way, and we learned that every hard time is an opportunity for humor.

My goal is to make people aware of this disease and the affects that it has on people world wide. I will be fighting this battle for the rest of my life, but I am hoping that one day we can find a cure to help people win. You can lose a battle but still win the war.

Working to find a cure gives me back the strength I lost and is proof that this disease doesn't control me.

Please join me in finding a cure by joining, supporting, or donating to my team today!

About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) and affect an estimated 3 million Americans. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine. There are no cures for these often painful and debilitating diseases.

The Mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
